Pin Up: first attempt

I got this awsome pin-up book for my birthday (best birthday present EVER- thanks Matt), so I'm starting my attempts on 50's- 60's retro pin-ups. I'd like to go for color soon. Still working on getting Painter.

I'm attempting to post a sketch as often as I can...so far 2 days in a row...not bad...but still rusty...my arm squeaks when I draw!

So I'm a little rough...it's been a while since I've actually had the chance to sit down and draw for fun :) Need to study more anatomy...I really should tote around my sketchbook more...I get zany ideas in the middle of Marketing meetings at work...heehee...

Fairies are a girls best friend

So here's a quick sketch...iono...for some reason I'm getting into this whole "fairy" type stuff. I've always loved fantasy art...especially Brian Froud...but for some reason I'm falling in love with the whole Lore of it all. Must be just a kick I am on, but in the meantime I'm having fun sketching out whimsical characters. I still need a Wacom darn it! Maybe I will get the courage to use Acrylics soon...

Just a quick sketch I did last night...I'm getting tired of the whole "girls" thing. I used actual blush on the cheeks, I don't know what I did with my pastels or colored pencils...they may be in storage.
